Diatomite is best known for the fact that it is high in Silica, lightweight, sterile, non-toxic and will hold 150% of its own weight in  water.

Silica contributes to strong cell structure and strong healthy root systems.

Diatomite can hold fertilizer salts, so flushing your plants a few times a year would be recommended.
